Read the structure
看起来 introduces an appearance-based judgment: something looks or seems a certain way. In this construction 看起来 is a fixed unit before the description, not the literal sequence look and rise. It cannot be split by degree words, and aspect particles cannot be inserted between it and the following description. Keep the model Subject + 看起来 + Adjective / Clause visible while you compare each sentence.
这些苹果看起来很好吃。
These apples look delicious.
Choose the right context
Describe a visible impression: 苹果看起来很好吃。 Give a tentative judgment based on appearance. Use it before an adjective or short descriptive clause.
她看起来有点儿累。
She looks a little tired.
Respect the boundary
Do not split 看起来 with an adjective or degree word. Do not insert 了 after 看起来 in the appearance construction. Do not use it for information learned only by hearing.
她看起很累来。
(She look-up very tired-come.)
Repair the pattern
The fixed appearance marker is split: 看起来 is a fixed appearance marker and must remain together before 很累. 了 splits the degree phrase: 很容易 is one degree phrase and cannot be split by the aspect particle 了.
她看起来很累。
Use the repaired structure without changing the intended meaning.
