Read the structure
Some Mandarin verbs take objects that express a destination or location, while creation verbs take an object that comes into existence as the action's result. Examples include 进教室, 放桌上, 盖房子, and 建食堂. These licensed verb-object relations do not permit aspect markers or unrelated prepositions inside the object noun phrase. Keep the model Motion/Placement Verb + Location; Creation Verb + Result Object visible while you compare each sentence.
听见铃声,他马上进了教室。
Hearing the bell, he immediately entered the classroom.
Choose the right context
Use a destination object after a compatible directed-motion verb. Use a location object after selected placement verbs in concise patterns. Use a created entity as the object of 盖 or 建.
他把东西放在桌子上了。
He put the things on the table.
Respect the boundary
Do not insert aspect inside the location noun phrase. Do not reverse a creation verb and its result object. Do not assume every verb can omit a location preposition before a place object.
他马上进了教了室。
(He immediately entered the classroom.)
Repair the pattern
Aspect marker splits the location noun phrase: 教室 is an indivisible location noun; perfective 了 follows the motion verb only. Aspect marker splits the result-object noun phrase: 新房子 is the intact result-object noun phrase; aspect 了 cannot occur between its modifier and head.
他马上进了教室。
Use the repaired structure without changing the intended meaning.
