X也好/也罢: Regardless of Alternatives in Chinese
X也好/也罢，Y也好/也罢
X也好/也罢，Y也好/也罢 lists two or more alternatives and states that the same conclusion applies regardless of which holds. Each alternative receives its own marker, followed by a shared comment. The markers cannot be stacked after one item, detached from their alternatives, or left without the common conclusion.

Read the structure
X也好/也罢，Y也好/也罢 lists two or more alternatives and states that the same conclusion applies regardless of which holds. Each alternative receives its own marker, followed by a shared comment. The markers cannot be stacked after one item, detached from their alternatives, or left without the common conclusion. Keep the model X + 也好/也罢，Y + 也好/也罢，+ Shared conclusion visible while you compare each sentence.

Choose the right context
Treat several alternatives as leading to one conclusion. Show that a decision does not depend on which option holds. Use 也好 or the more dismissive 也罢 after each alternative.
你去也好，我去也好，总得有人参加。
Whether you go or I go, someone must attend.
Respect the boundary
Do not put both markers after only one alternative. Do not omit the shared conclusion. Do not use it for an ordinary either-or question.
成功失败也好也罢，我们都总结经验。
(Success failure whether-whether, we learn from it.)
Repair the pattern
Both markers are stacked after one alternative: Each alternative must be followed by its own 也好 or 也罢 marker. The alternative markers precede rather than follow their alternatives: Each 也好 or 也罢 must follow the alternative it marks.
成功也好，失败也罢，我们都总结经验。
Use the repaired structure without changing the intended meaning.
