一方面...另一方面...: Two Aspects in Chinese
一方面...另一方面... presents two coordinated aspects, reasons, considerations, or perspectives concerning one topic. The two clauses may be parallel or contrastive, and 另一方面 does not itself require contradiction. This analytical pattern is especially useful for explaining a situation from two sides; it is not the simultaneous-action pattern expressed by 一边...一边....

When to use 一方面…另一方面… — and when not
Use it when
- To present two things that both matter: 这件事一方面要看价格，另一方面也要看质量。
- To list two reasons or effects concerning one topic: 这个办法一方面节省时间，另一方面也很方便。
- To show two different considerations, often with 又 in the second clause: 他一方面想去，另一方面又担心时间不够。
Don't use it when
- For two actions happening at the same time; use 一边...一边... when simultaneity is the intended relation.
- Do not assume the second aspect must contradict the first; the two parts can also be parallel and mutually supportive.
- Do not place both markers before the first aspect or insert 另一方面 inside a verb-object phrase.
Right vs. wrong
这个办法一方面另一方面节省时间，也很方便。

Both markers are stacked before the first aspect
一方面 introduces the first complete aspect; 另一方面 must wait until the second aspect begins.
这个计划一方面降低了成本，提高了另一方面效率。

另一方面 is inserted between a verb and its object
另一方面 introduces the whole second clause and cannot split 提高 from its object 效率.
Examples

Common mistakes
这个办法一方面另一方面节省时间，也很方便。
Zhège bànfǎ yì fāngmiàn lìng yì fāngmiàn jiéshěng shíjiān, yě hěn fāngbiàn.
Do not stack the two markers. Say 一方面节省时间，另一方面也很方便。
这个计划一方面降低了成本，提高了另一方面效率。
Zhège jìhuà yì fāngmiàn jiàngdī le chéngběn, tígāo le lìng yì fāngmiàn xiàolǜ.
另一方面 must open the second clause: 另一方面提高了效率。
