Choose the right context
Present a short, limited action or a suggestion to try an action. Use VV or V一V with a compatible monosyllabic verb. Use V了V for a completed brief action, or ABAB with a compatible disyllabic verb such as 介绍.

Respect the boundary
Do not teach AB一AB as the basic HSK 2 disyllabic pattern; this lesson uses standard ABAB and treats documented rare variation as an advanced boundary. Do not treat adjective AABB forms as verb reduplication. Do not assume that every verb permits every reduplicated form in every context.

一 placed before rather than inside the reduplicated unit: The standard disyllabic pattern here is the contiguous ABAB unit 介绍介绍. 一 cannot be placed before that entire reduplicated unit. 一 placed before rather than between the two verb copies: In V一V, 一 sits between the two copies of the monosyllabic verb: 看一看. It cannot precede the reduplicated unit.
