这家小店蛮干净的。
This little shop is quite clean.
Choose the right context
Use 蛮 before a conversational adjectival predicate. Use 蛮…的 for a colloquial positive assessment. Use it when the degree is appreciable but not maximally emphatic.
他的想法蛮有创意的。
His idea is pretty creative.
Respect the boundary
Do not place 蛮 after the adjective. Do not insert aspect marking between 蛮 and the predicate. Do not use 蛮 as a noun classifier.
这家小店蛮了干净的。
(This little shop is quite clean.)
Repair the pattern
Aspect marker occupies the adverb-predicate slot: Degree adverb 蛮 must directly precede the adjectival predicate; perfective 了 cannot fill that slot. Degree adverb is stranded after the predicate: 蛮 is a preverbal degree adverb and cannot follow the 冷的 predicate.
